KAWS What Party At The Brooklyn Museum

KAWS What Party at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City NYC

I visited the KAWS What Party exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum at the last minute before the end of this exhibition.

I’ve honestly been seeing KAWS figures and images all over the web, mostly notably BTS RM’s KAWS figure collection.

Visiting this exhibition, it’s hard not to instantly fall in love with this artist’s work. Especially because he’s a native New Yorker, lover of anime, Japan, and cartoons. From a millennial perspective, what’s not to like?

I was incredibly disappointed I couldn’t purchase any merchandise (I mean it figures because it was the second to last day of the exhibit). Still, there were some t-shirts being released and restocked at odd times. There was no way to re-enter the exhibit after entering, so it felt like you had to loiter around the KAWS gift shop until they stocked t-shirts again. I was too impatient to go home so it didn’t happen for me.
